It’s summer time folks and the travel bug bites again!!
Travel Is Fun,
Travel enriches,
Travel is an essential indulgence!
Travel connects us to people and places,
It lets us explore different cultures,
It expands the horizons of our mind!
Travel lends wings to our mind…
But many a time, travel can turn into a disaster , a health disaster especially when we are travelling with young ones.
Not only that, the post holiday blues just suck the holiday fun away.
So this summer let’s be wise and travel smartly!!

Let’s be a smart tourist!

Plan ahead of time, at least a month or fortnight before travel
To fortify our system,With the immunity Builders.
For its only a vigilant immunity which can protect us against different bacterial, viral, and parasitic infections during our travel.
Now how exactly does one fortify the system would be a natural question??
The answer is
1) Taking regular doses of Vitamin C and Vitamin B12 with breakfast .Now Vitamin C is very fragile and can be only had from fresh fruits such as the citrus fruits(oranges, Mandarin’s, grapefruit, sweet lime, lime or lemon) or Indian gooseberry, Kiwi, starfruit. Just take daily doses of lemon shots. Sometimes however if the fruits are not organic or fresh or our absorption is compromised, the levels of these vitamins may still stay Low, hence it would be prudent to take a Vitamin C and Vitamin B supplement regularly at least a month before we travel and few days after returning as well.
2) Your constitutional Homeopathic medicine is like the project manager of your human system it ensures all your systems are in TOP gear when you travel. So do visit your homeopathic consultation at the earliest and get your travel friendly schedule sorted at the earliest.Your Homeopath would also guide you into how to manage small health issues through the Homeopathic first aid session. So it’s always worth booking yourself into a Homeopathic First Aid workshop so you can be your family doctor on the Go!! Wouldn’t that be a empowering experience .
3) You see travel also means a lot of walking around, and that’s the best way to explore any place, not to mention the calorie loss you achieve by this extensive walking. So do buy a good pair of walking shoes and break into them.So your lovely feet can be spared those nasty shoe bites.
Also remember to start taking your magnesium calcium vitamin D supplement with breakfast.Banana is one of the richest source of Magnesium,
A banana a day keeps the leg cramps away.
Remember you need to get your body walk friendly if you wish to walk on holidays. And a fifteen minute walk in the sun can top up our Vitamin D reserve and work those lazy muscles away. In any case, taking these supplements before setting sail, will ensure that we have a good reserve of them.
4) Now you see travel and food just go hand in hand, both fine dining aswellas the street fare. The real taste of regional cuisine can only be had at
the Hawkers in the streets of any place , or the food carts along the way .
The taste of course is to die for but hygiene is many a times compromised there, So maintain a good gut flora
through regular doses of pre and probiotic before ,during and after travel. It helps keep the water borne bugs away!
5) Few other things which are an absolute must to pack during travel are
a) a cotton bandage
b) few Colton swabs
c) antiseptic cream
d) adhesive bandages
e) compression bandages
f) oral rehydration fluids
g) carbon tablets

6) Vector borne or insect borne infections are the other hazard that one faces during travel
hence don’t forget to pick up your natural ,personalised, aromatherapy blend from your wholistic Practitioner
You could also request her to add a sun blocking or sun tanning oil as per individual preference .
And she can tailor make it for you.
Thus not only does the oil keep insects away but also repels bacteria, viruses and gives sun
Protection all in one blend.
